Had to leave work early yesterday. My back was hurting SOO bad. Of course, nothing came of it. It started hurting in the morning and gradually got worse through the day. Finally, I just couldn't get comfortable and we weren't very busy so I asked to leave. I came home and sat in the recliner with a heating pad, which didn't help. Then I laid down and took about an 1.5 hr nap. That also didn't help much. So I basically did nothing the rest of the night, other than help Paul feed the animals. His mother sent over some food, thank goodness.
My friend Brandy was supposed to be induced yesterday morning (she's one week ahead of me in her pregnancy). When she called yesterday they told her not to come because all their labor beds were full. At 5:30pm they called her back and said to come on in. So she's been laboring all night. She just texted me and she hasn't made much progress. I feel so bad for her! But it seems like everyone I know that gets induced has really long labors. So hopefully I can avoid that..
Also, my friend from school, Torey, was supposed to come to my house last night. We've had several classes together online and have never met but we e-mail, facebook, and talk on the phone all the time. She's the one who suggested I take a pregnancy test back in April! Its just never worked out for us to meet (she's a couple of hours away and just had a baby earlier this year). Her and her husband were on their way home from Raleigh last night and they went the wrong way to come to my house, so they decided to just go on home. Maybe we'll meet some day!
So, I'm just slightly disappointed this morning. Nothing has worked out like I thought! My boss told me when I left yesterday that he probably wouldn't see me at the company Christmas party Saturday night cause I'd have the baby by then. But I told him I seriously doubted it. I think its just my luck for her to hang on until my due date or even after! :/
