My horses are, I think, trying to see exactly how much I can take before I crack. Got up this morning, fence is down again (why doesn't it shock them like it shocks me?!), Junior's got a cut on his right hind leg, on the cannon bone. I go back to look at it again after I feed them. The whole cannon and fetlock is swollen. Huge. Wonderful.
I gave him 2 grams of Bute and cold-hosed it. The cut's pretty clean, and I washed it with iodine to be sure. I hosed it 4 or 5 times today, and its finally going down some. Still swollen, but not nearly as bad as it was. It doesn't appear to be bothering him, though, so that's good. My horses are driving me crazy though!!
